Welcome to Bet Chaverim Congregation, a dynamic, egalitarian and inclusive community with roots in Conservative practice and a warm appreciation for the diversity of Jewish life today, including multi-faith families. The Congregation provides a joyous Jewish experience that enables all members to participate and fulfill their religious and spiritual needs. Our innovative, K-7 religious school relies on a values-based curriculum for highly individualized, experiential learning.
Member-driven and committed to participatory Judaism in our services, structure and decision-making, the Congregation plays an active role in the Howard County Jewish community.
Rabbi Kim Blumenthal serves as Bet Chaverim’s spiritual leader, and offers a wide range of rabbinical support to members. Services are held every weekend on alternating Friday nights and Saturday mornings, on the High Holidays and major Jewish festivals. We also hold weekly minyans, and the life cycle events of our members are fully supported. Visit our Calendar page and click on specific events for more detailed information.
Bet Chaverim warmly welcomes new members to our community. For information on becoming a member, please visit our membership page.

Bet Chaverim is dedicated to creating lifelong Jewish learners. We don't read about Judaism, we practice our Judaism. We gather on Sunday mornings and begin with a student-led Shacharit service. Our students learn to navigate the siddur, and stand in front of their peers with confidence.
A key component to Bet Chaverim Religious School is that we learn together with our families. Throughout the year, parents, siblings, grandparents and special adult friends are invited to join us for hands-on activities, a Sukkot hike, or a challenging game of Romans and Rabbis for Lag B'omer.
